Invest in the Future of Latino Mental Health by Sponsoring A Student
The future of our field is already here - in classrooms, practicum sites, community agencies, and graduate programs across the state. By sponsoring a student to attend the 2026 LMHANJ Annual Conference, you are doing more than covering a registration fee. You are increasing access to culturally responsive training, leadership development, and community connection for the next generation of Latino mental health professionals.
You are saying: You belong in this space.
Sponsoring a Student:
A Note About Matching
If we are unable to match your sponsorship directly to a student attendee, your contribution will be directed toward the Futuro Fund, supporting scholarships and future student access initiatives through LMHANJ.
Your investment will always go toward advancing Latino mental health and uplifting the next generation of leaders.
An update on your sponsorship will be provided by March 6, 2026.
Why Sponsor a Student?
Many emerging professionals are balancing tuition, internships, family responsibilities, and financial constraints. Conference registration can be a barrier, even when the learning opportunity could be transformational.
Your sponsorship helps a student:
-
Access one or two days of culturally grounded professional development
-
Engage in conversations around identity, advocacy, immigration narratives, Afro-Latino experiences, and collective healing
-
Experience restorative practices like breathwork and trauma-informed workshops
-
Build meaningful connections with clinicians, researchers, educators, and community leaders
-
Witness excellence in action through scholarship presentations and award recognitions
This is not just attendance.
This is exposure, mentorship, belonging, and possibility.
