As we honor Mental Health Awareness Month, we are reminded of the urgent and ongoing need to uplift mental health initiatives-especially within the Latine community, when stigma and barriers to care remain deeply rooted.
The Latino Mental Health Association of New Jersey exists to change that, and our annual gala is where community, purpose, and celebration come together to make it happen.
This year, we are proud to shine a light on something bigger than one evening. Through the LMHANJ Futuro Fund, we invest directly in the next generation of Latino mental health leaders-graduate students who are training to serve the very communities that need them most. Last year, we awarded two $5,000 scholarships. In 2026, we are committed to doing more.
