Yudelka Columna, MSW, LCSW

Yudelka Columna, BBA, MSW, LCSW  is an accomplished, multi-awarded bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience helping individuals and families overcome mental, physical, and emotional trauma, including challenges like suicidal ideation, anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues. She is also the author of Emotional Resilience: Practical Solutions for Overcoming Challenges to Thrive in Life, a resource offering practical tools for developing resilience.

To address mental health disparities, Yudelka founded Healing Road Counseling Services, a private counseling practice in New Jersey, and Healing Partners Counseling, a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving disadvantaged communities. As an immigrant from the Dominican Republic, Yudelka initially earned a degree in Business Administration at APEC University, where she received national recognition as a top student. Upon moving to the U.S., she completed her Master’s in Social Work at the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and further trained in Trauma-Focused Integrative Health Care at the University of Massachusetts.

Throughout her career, Yudelka has worked in roles such as Bilingual Family Service Specialist at New Jersey’s Department of Child Protection and Permanency (DCPP) and as a therapist in outpatient clinics, such as Federal Qualified Health Care Center, and New Jersey’s Children’s Systems of Care (PerformCare). She specializes in trauma-informed, culturally sensitive care, with expertise in therapies like EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Brainspotting, and mindfulness-based approaches to treat PTSD and other trauma-related conditions.

Yudelka, an Afro-Latina immigrant and mother of three, embodies the resilience she teaches. She has shared her expertise as a motivational speaker and continues to receive awards for her compassionate, ethical work supporting survivors of trauma, immigration challenges, abuse, and violence. Her mission remains to create safe, empowering spaces for healing and growth within diverse communities.
