Maria Luisa Molina, LCSW, is a proud Latina, first-generation immigrant, and trauma-informed therapist. Her passion for mental health advocacy is deeply rooted in her values and her dedication to serving others. Born and raised in Ecuador, she immigrated to the United States at 17 and worked tirelessly to build a path defined by service, representation, and healing. She graduated with honors from Ramapo College of New Jersey and later earned her Master’s in Social Work from New York University.
Maria Luisa is the Founder and CEO of Vida Wellness and Counseling Services, a bilingual and culturally responsive group practice supporting BIPOC, first-generation, and trauma-impacted populations. Her clinical work focuses on helping adults heal from childhood wounds and intergenerational trauma. She is an EMDR-certified therapist, a Licensed Clinical Supervisor, and is currently pursuing a Polyvagal Theory Certificate. She is also on track to become an EMDR Consultant-in-Training in 2026.
For over a decade, Maria Luisa has served in hospitals, community mental health programs, and leadership roles, supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families with complex emotional needs. Her work is guided by her belief that culturally attuned and authentic care has the power to transform lives.
Maria Luisa carries deep pride in her heritage and a strong commitment to uplifting Latinx voices, expanding access to culturally grounded mental health services, and honoring the people and experiences that shaped her. She is honored to stand alongside fellow Latino leaders dedicated to advocacy, unity, and healing.
