As a professional community dedicated to advancing Latinx mental health, the Latino Mental Health Association of New Jersey stands in solidarity with our immigrant brothers and sisters during this ongoing immigration crisis.
Latino immigrants are the fabric of our society. They embody strength, resilience, pride, and hard work - qualities that uplift our communities and drive our collective progress. As professionals, advocates, and allies, we are united by a shared commitment to supporting the well-being and dignity of all Latinx individuals, regardless of immigration status.
The continued attacks on our community are devastating and intolerable. We denounce rhetoric and policies that dehumanize or target immigrants and reaffirm our dedication to promoting justice, equity, and culturally responsive mental health care for all.
We will not remain silent. We will continue to invest in the healing, empowerment, and advancement of nuestra comunidad. Together, we must build a society where all Latinx individuals - regardless of where they come from - are treated with dignity, respect, and care.
